Sundown Mt. Diablo

I got invited to Mt. Diablo to shoot the area with a group of photographers.  The road was very narrow and one long switch back, so it took me about an hour to go 20 miles!  But the drive was worth it.  The view was unbelievable.  I wasn't prepared for the wind.  I had to hold my tripod steady with my legs just to get a shot.  By the time I was ready to leave, I had to follow a caravan down the mountain so I wouldn't get lost.  (Of course, now that I know where Mt. Diablo is, I can't wait to go back!)

Lighthouse At Sunrise

My picture of my solo adventure driving 2 hours to see the sun rise.  I got up again at 3 a.m. and discovered a little town in the area filled with farms that grow all organic food.  (They make best chocolate muffins!  I had one at 9 a.m. and it felt like noon.)
